Embedded Learning Academy has partnered with PDE to offer teachers in Pennsylvania free online courses to earn Act 48 hours. The courses center on how technology should and can be used in your classroom. Teachers who have not taken an Embedded Learning course will start with the introductory course titled, "Learning in the 21st Century: The Need for Change." This course will act as an orientation for other courses in the series and focus in on why it is important to change your classroom from a 20th century learning atmosphere to a 21st century atmosphere.

In order to enroll in the first course you will need to have your Professional ID handy. You can find this by using the following link:
https://www.perms.ed.state.pa.us/Screens/wfPublicAccess.aspx

The computer you use to take the course must have an updated version of Adobe Flash. If it does not, you can get the update at:
http://www.adobe.com/

To begin, you need to create an account with Embedded Learning. Go to:
https://www.learningaccount.net/MyAccount/login.cfm and click on Create an Account. Your organization should be PA Dept. of Education.
Be sure to use your district email to register.

Embedded Learning will send you a 4 digit code to validate your account. You will enter this when you log in again.

Once you have successfully created your account, please contact Joe Voyt - joseph.voyt@scrsd.org so he may enroll you in a Study Group which
will allow you to begin the course. When you are enrolled, log in to your account, click Learn, and then View next to the course name.

There is no written work to be turned in. All articles for the course are online and do not need to be printed unless you choose to do so.

When you have finished the course, please notify Joe Voyt. Within a few days you will receive 30 Act 48 Hours for completing the course.
